The band Ivory Bridge™ took its namesake from the earliest Martin Guitars, some of which were originally built with bridges made entirely of ivory. The Ivory Bridge Bluegrass Band™ is a self-stylized group that features dynamic and versatile vocals backed by all acoustic instrumentation. Presenting a repertoire of musical styles consisting of hard driving Bluegrass, Bluegrass Gospel, A Cappella and a variety of original tunes.
Ivory Bridge features Minnesota's flatpickin' guitar champ, Bill Liners. Original songs and extraordinary harmonies by Kathe Liners and Lincoln Potter.
Ivory Bridge also features banjo player extraordinaire (and president of the MN Bluegrass and Old-time Music Association), Jim Tordoff.

How can you not love bunch of fish-kissing, middle-aged old fogies playing old-time music? The Eelpout Stringers hail from Minneapolis and pride themselves on being the only band in the world named after the ugliest fish in the northern hemisphere.
The Eelpout Stringers play turn-of-the-century (and older) music as well as ballads and dance tunes. Don't miss their hard-driving fiddle and banjo approach to this happy music!
Band members are:
Loyd ("Keeper") Mitchell - guitar, Nick ("Fin") Rowse - fiddle,
Karl ("Gil") Burke - Bass and
Craig ("Bullhead") Evans - banjo.

"You won’t believe your ears when you hear these two sets of brothers pickin’ and strummin’ with jaw-dropping ease. It is talent that’s far, far beyond their years."
--- Kurt Augustine, St John’s Block Party Coordinator, Rochester, MN
The Sawtooth Bluegrass Band is bringing a new face to the meaning of teenage boys putting together a band. Not vanquished by their parents to the garage or basement, these young men are bringing audiences of all ages to their feet at fairs, festivals, opera houses and charity events across the state and beyond.
Winners of the 2008 MBOTMA Race for a Place Band Contest!
Bluegrass music brought the two sets of brothers, ages 14 through 18, together a couple of years ago, and they have become tight knit on and off the stage. Between skiing, fishing, playing video games and traveling together, the boys can be found arranging four-part a cappella gospel numbers and writing original songs. While older audiences enjoy their music selection, it’s not to say that the guys aren’t hip; they do enjoy covering the occasional 70’s rock era song.
The group took 1st place in the 2008 MBOTMA Race for a Place Band Contest, Clint is the youth champion and placed 2nd overall in the 2007 and 2008 MN guitar flatpicking championships, and Jesse and Clint placed 2nd in the 2008 MN duet championships.
Tight vocal harmonies and precision picking is getting them recognized beyond Minnesota, as well. They were hired to perform in Branson, MO at Silver Dollar City for the Bluegrass & BBQ Festival for three days in May 2008 (and asked back for next year, too!). They've also been contacted twice to participate in nationally recognized band competitions.
The Sawtooth Bluegrass Band is the Moravec Brothers from Rochester, MN -- Ethan on bass & harmony vocals and Jesse on mandolin & lead vocals, and also the Birtzer brothers from Rosemount, MN -- Clint on guitar & lead vocals, Luke on fiddle & harmony vocals, and finally Shane Birtzer, the band’s emcee, on banjo.

HELLO STRANGER... we are 5 wonderful musicians doing the music we love together. Our music consists of the classic bluegrass instrumentation - banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar and standup bass. We play bluegrass, oldtime, old country, some originals, a little of this and a little of that, all with a lot of heart. Strong female vocals, heartbreaking harmonies, hot instrumentals, great songs - we've got it.
Hello Stranger is Deb Carlson - guitar/vocals, Debbie Sorensen-Boeh - fiddle and vocals, Sandy Njoes - bass, Mark Briere - mandolin and vocals, Bruce Johnson - banjo and harmonica.
Be sure and check out their real-life adventures at the Eelpout Festival held every year in Walker, MN. See their (mostly true) blog here.
