Craig and DeAnne's Wedding Photos - 9/8/07
The day was perfect.  Couldn't have been nicer.  The Wedding Band kicked off the event with some wonderful old Gospel tunes.  Members of the band - Deb Sorensen-Boeh on fiddle, Mark Briere on mandolin, Rick Anderson on guitar and Dave Tousley on bass - are all friends of ours.  Special to us that day, playing the banjo and singing the lonesome tenor was my son, Seth Evans.
Here we are singing Better Get In That Number.
My family was all here for the event as was DeAnne's.

Her son Sam walked her down the aisle.
Pastor Karen then pitched a sermon. It involved a "seconds" or rejected pitcher she purchased from the Red Wing factory store. Her point was this; each of have God-given gifts within. The outside packaging may show flaws or blemishes, and man may have labeled it a "second," but as the pitcher still adequately holds water, we all can perform our gifts as designed by the Master Craftsman. God loves us regardless of strengths and weaknesses. In fact, He designed us exactly that way. And He's not done with us yet! We need to be open to ongoing change, remolding. We also need to look for His gifts in others... beyond external appearances, knowing we, through kindness and understanding, can help God mold them into their best being. A remarkably simple, yet profound message. Thanks, Karen!
Next, Rosemount UMC's Contemporary choir (the NOW Team... stands for New Order of Worship) got us all rocking with a great traditional Gospel hymn, How Great Thou Art.
No wedding is complete without vows...so here are ours.
Ok.  Time to go.  While the NOW Team sang a moving rendition of one of our favorite Gospel hymns (Soon and Very Soon) ...
Our friend Robin Fox's band - By the Light of the Moon - was already makin' music.  We kicked off the festivities with the wedding dance.
Check out that form on the video!

While DeAnne danced with her dad, I also got to dance with my 89 year old mom.
There were toasts by DeAnne's dad Ben and my brother Jack.  We learned a few things about each other.  In DeAnne's case, that was more than she wanted to know (check out the face).
Next, Singleton Street showed off their rowdy selves with some tunes DeAnne wanted to hear.  You can see her dancing in the background.
Right behind Singleton Street, equally as rowdy were the Eelpout Stringers in fine old-timey form.  More dancing... more fun (see the video).
DeAnne and her dad clogged up a storm!
Meanwhile, folks are eatin' and talkin', others are square dancing, many are playing music... and everyone is just generally having fun.  Life is good!
We had no idea so many folks from Rosemount UMC loved to square dance.  Woo-hoo!
Just about the time I'm winding down...

DeAnne is catching a new wind... and attitude!
Happy trails, everyone!  Thanks for sharing in our special day.

Craig and DeAnne
So it seem the right time for our love boat to sail off to the horizon.
PS - A VERY special thanks to Bill Middlecamp, Dave Tousley, Michael Boeckmann, Karl Burke and Su, Ben and Peggy Lilly, John, Lisa, Valerie and Olivia Hedges and Sherri Leyda for taking such GREAT shots! And another big thank you to John Whitehead for all the Wedding Day videos! Enjoy!
DANCING PICS

PLAYING AND JAMMING PICS

... I gave explicit instructions; Get thee over to the reception at our house.  Be prepared to dance... eat... play... be merry!  This way, follow us!"
And here's Seth singing and playing I'm Ready.
